Team Jemmac 4th on debut!

Left to right: James C, James S (Capt), Al and Greg

Congratulations to the Jemmac Marathon Relay Team who took 4th place on their competitive debut in the MK Marathon at the weekend.

The result was especially good given Greg and James C were in their first timed race and neither were running at all just a few months ago!!

At one point the team looked destined for first place, but still finished in a very credit worthy fourth position despite a mix up between legs 2 and 3 that cost the team around 15 minutes of race time! Without that they would have been challenging for overall honours.

Nonetheless an excellent result with all four runners recording excellent times for their respective legs. The team also raised in excess of £500 for local charities which will now be doubled by Jemmac.

So a big well done to all involved, ‘The Team’ of James C, James S (Capt), Al and Greg plus their support crew of James W (logistics and transport), Matt (spotter and on event support) and Lynne (locator of the lost and needy).

We look forward to the team challenging for top honours in the 2015 event!
