The Sapphire Collector contains logic allowing it to automatically detect the following Data Locations:
OPC DA Servers for which client side DCOM registration has been performed on the Collector's PC.
Plug in Data Locations such as SNMP, Windows Performance Counters, PING, OPC UA Servers and Scripts.
When a Sapphire Collector is run for the first time it will automatically execute the discovery logic. From then on, the list will only be updated when the user manually adds or removes DL's (see appropriate sections) or when the user requests that the Discover process should be re-run.
Note: The discover process will append any DLs that are not already known to the list of data locations.
Tip: OPC Servers that have been de-installed will not be removed from the list. These must be manually removed.
