Data Collection
High-speed robust configurable data collection (number of items and scan frequencies).
Reliable & consistent data collection – employs base times, tolerance windows and scan quality indicators.
Base times can be set to allow load balancing
Scan volumes and frequencies can be tailored to individual requirements and/or hardware.
Data is stored in UTC format avoiding time zone and daylight savings issues - the time offset used for presentation is defined by user.
Users can easily change the scan rates for individual items
Batch load, modify and delete functions for creating & managing item lists.
OPC Data Access (DA) collection from any compliant OPC Server.
SNMP data via the optional SapphireTrend SNMP 'Plugin' Dll.
Windows Performance data via the optional SapphireTrend WinPerf 'Plugin' Dll.
Network Statistics via the options SapphireTrend Ping 'Plugin' Dll.
Data from external third party applications and scripts via the optional SapphireTrend Script 'Plugin' Dll.
Trending
Multiple Graph Styles (Strip Chart, Radar plots & X-Y graphs).
Option to connect to a Sapphire Collector or directly to a DA or HDA OPCServer.
Zooming, panning, multiple scaling modes (manual, automatic, link to pen).
Hairline cursor for reading data values at specific points in time and sweeping across plots.
Synchronized Cursor feature allowing data in multiple plot windows to be compared simultaneously.
User preferences – allows operators to share workstations whilst maintaining their preferred options for color, layout and operation.
Session files – allows preset views to be stored and re-used.
Plot files – defines an individual plot. Can be shared or individual and can be used in more than one session.
Configurable display areas – axes, grid lines, controls, item details on a per plot basis.
Quick control of common functions via toolbars.
Free format layout of plots or automated arrangements (i.e. tile, cascade).
Plots can be any size or shape.
Can display from 1 .. n plots in a single session.
Infinite number of pens on a plot.
Easy list management for items – lists sortable by various column heading plus filter & locate functions.
Ability to view additional supporting data (i.e. item description and Engineering Units).
Trend items collected at different frequencies on the same plot.
Trend from multiple data sources within a single application window.
Viewing Modes
Overview mode – allows a large number of plots to be displayed on a single display.
Emergency mode - enable all controls on the maximized plot for investigation purposes.
Selected mode – defines a subset of plots to be displayed for investigation purposes. The definition of which plots to include can be easily changed allowing the Selected mode view to be changed on the fly.
OCX
Active-X control for embedding plots in other applications.
Full right click functionality allowing access to all stPro features.
Programmable API for a subset of the stPro controls.
Security
Facility to control access via User accounts (two modes & NT logon or Plain text).
Facility to control access via TCP/IP addresses (can allow or block from individual TCP/IP addresses to entire sub nets).
Exporting
Uses format definition language to define the ’r;shape’ of the ASCII output.
Delivered with pre-defined set of formats, user can add their own.
Missing data controls – leave, interpolate or inherit.
Scheduling – Exports definitions can be saved, run once, or scheduled for regular execution.
Quick Export feature to generate CSV files from plots on the host PC.
Archives
Can save interesting time periods for analysis at a later date.
Available for analysis in Sapphire Clients in parallel with ’r;live data’.
OPCServer
Allows OPC Clients to access the data held in the Sapphire Collector.
Can be installed locally or remotely from the Sapphire Collector.
Uses TCP/IP for its communications so it is not subject to cross domain DCOM restrictions.
